How's your weight doing Clint? I started my diet around 3 years ago. I gain I lose. You take the good you take the bad you take them both and there you have, the facts of life, the facts of life.

My weight is still hanging around. My lower back surgery was a failure. I need booth knees replaced.
Just found out I also need my right ankle replaced.
I hesitate to go see a hip specialist πŸ€•

Can't beat that but I am now a great Uncle. Niece dropped the 3.9Kg baby boy on 5th Jan. I am pretty sure that the parents being clever - I'll have no formative input on his life.

CONGRATS, Grumpy! Grandkids are like gold bars. All are awesome, more even better!

        Clit,
The past 18 months have learned me all about "body give up" before your time.
It just means we went WFO for a tad too long and floated a valve or two.
        Stay in the fight!

It's true Bull we have seen a drop off of members. Some still lurk but there are about only 10 of us that still participate on this site. I'm not here as much as I use to be and that includes the other site. I use to be on both at least an 1.5 hour total a day. Now I'm about 1.5 hours a week if that. I guess after 2 years of lurking and then 15 years of being a member things that were important then aren't now. It is sad to see older members leave the site and others that pass away. We are getting old and new peeps are coming in and taking over. Staying active certainly helps concerning old injuries but after a few surgeries and new injuries as we age it's tough to stay in the fight. I retired 16 years ago last week and it feels like it was just yesterday. WTF has the time gone? Happy New Year my old friends!!

I enjoyed these forums for a long time. They were on my only social media outlet.
Don't know for sure if it's me or the forums, but things are not the same.
Less comradery, less action, less fun, and just seems dry of personality.
I know my motor riding desire and spirit have not dimished, although my activity has been hampered by my physical ailments. What a PITA!

Thank God that even with all my orthopedic bone and joint issues I can still ride my motor. Just not for real long stretches

We're getting old, I saw the same thing happen to my club years ago. I haven't been on the other site since he added fucking popups, gotta be the single rudest thing in the world

Just my opinion agree or not skip it or will it piss you off youre choice: less comradery? some one let you down turn their back not communicate back?we are all fighting some kind of battle others know nothing about.less fun?dont know and cant say about others but my personality is who I became and is.physical imparities, whats that story about skidding sideways to a stop in hell or heaven yelling what a ride! All my life on the rigs been kidded about being the old man still can out work most still out there its mostly a state of mind or activity may not able to do the things I used to but dont sit in no damn rocking chair complaining about it.How many of you have gotten banned or suspended from the other nazi site vowing to never go back over there but are now posting regulary me aint been back since and dont plan on it.has anyone bothered to welcome any new members?I may not have as much as others but am happy semi healthy but our graves are all the same size at the end.said it before and proved it many times good people are always welcome at my place.@ Grumpy Old Codger congrats the world needs more pretty girls (happy ones of course)

I agree with you brother cept when the X-rays show your knee and ankle are 100% bone on bone there ain’t no β€œair brush” gonna touch that up and make you pain free again. When you go to the trouble of having back surgery and it doesn’t fix you, after years of having had successful reconstructive surgery on both knees, both rotator cuffs, and neck fusion, it makes the failed back fusion a little disappointing. But I still have the state of mind to plow thru all the pain every day. Still work and 62 and never take pain medication. Unless you count the whiskey at the end of each day.
                Speed on brothers!

Amen, my rebel bro. My recent knee surgery, on my previously non surgical knee, has not fixed the issues that forced me to tap out of my across the US ride in Arkansas last June.
Looks like another full knee replacement is in my future.
Two more important issues will have to happen first, so I hope I have a riding season this year.

Yea we can only play the cards that are dealt to us.
Since I still have to work, with all the different joints that need to go aftermarket, time off is the biggest hurdle. Along with the shit for insurance we have now days with the sky high deductibles! 🀬
If I wait awhile maybe Trump will fix that TOO! πŸ€”

              Clint,
I would not count on Trump being able to change the insurance villains.
So I have lucked out regarding insurance because of my retirement pension.
I feel for you guys having to deal with deductibles.
Stay in the fight - never give up.
              How's your daughter doing?

                Thank you
My once very young honey is still fighting the same battles. Seizures are a little worse and more often now. She fell night before last and broke her thumb & tore ligament in it. Find out today if it needs surgery.
                Thanks for asking.
Giving up is not an option - fight on
