Good Luck Lupe. You are having this done while young and strong so your recovery should be rapid. I have heard that the first few weeks are though.

      Loopy,
8 years ago I had that shoulder rotator surgery. Took me 8 weeks to get back on motor, so hopefully Amigo, you'll have some riding season left this year.
I was recently told I need another surgery on the same shoulder. Because at 74.5 I likely have just a hand full of ride seasons remaining, I chose to take a cortisone shot to hopefully get me to Texas and through this here ride season.
I'll ride that motor until I can't no more!

Scott, that thought crissed my mind, the problem is that the yncontrolwd movement may hurt me badly according to the docs, drs say 6 to 8 weeks on a sling so at 4 weeks i bet still pretty tender

Bull, you are still stronger than a Bull!!😁

Lupe, bring your girls & let them ride. You can hang out with me, I’m gonna spend most of my time cooking and doubt I’ll ride much if at all

        Gracias, Amigo!
Likely never stronger, but I sure as hell have lived longer . . . FYI -

The bull is an intact (i.e., not castrated) adult male of the species Bos taurus.More muscular and aggressive than the females of the same species, the cows, bulls have long been an important symbol in many cultures, and play a significant role in beef ranching, dairy farming, and a variety of other cultural activities, including bull fighting and bull riding

"Lifespan" of a bull (bovine) probably depends on the breed. Longhorns can live into their teens and beyond. "Fertility" (lifespan) again depends on the breed, condition of the bull, libido, sperm count/motility/viability.

The lifespan of pitbulls depends on genetics and environmental factors. On average, they can live anywhere from 8-16 years. In some rare cases, these dogs may live up to 20 years, whereas some bigger pitbulls may live for less than five years. A healthy diet with proper nutrition is necessary to give them a healthy, and hopefully long, life.

Lupe make sur the foam sling has the ball on the front its held on by velcro. Its to squeeze which helps the muscles you can't use. Don't do anymore then the docs and rehab tell you to do. Especially if you are not ambidextrous

I have a different viewpoint from the Leakey gathering 2 years ago. All the other events were fine.

I was subjected to constant pro-Trumptard biased TV news (Fox/CNN?) every day, all day, in the cabin with non-stop rhetoric, propaganda and political slurs about conspiracy theories. No discussions.

I am politically neutral and prefer not to listen to either sides extremes at all let alone for hours on end in a common area shared by several guests.

Any attempt to change the channel was met with a glare and it would be changed back to the news ASAP.

              Absolutely horrible.

              Sad but true.

Looks about right. At least the supreme court ruled Fox isn't a news channel, lol.

                Jim,
I don't know what cabin or group you were in, but our cabin was not that way!
As for your un-credited TV bias list, it is unacurate bull shit!
Perhaps you were unhappy about you motor issues?

              I won’t be near a TV 🀘

That article has nothing to do with what I stated. I'm talking about a federal judge's ruling ( not supreme court, my mistake) that Fox isn't bound by truth in reporting because it's entertainment, not news. It's called the straw man fallacy.

Right, and your link answered the question " did Fox news change it's name to Fox Entertainment?", which I never asked or addressed.

How did a thread about a ride/gathering turn political just by having one member ask that the gathering not turn political? πŸ€”

No, Amigo, I answered only that the Supreme Court never declared Fox News any such thing.

I'll walk you through it, amigo. I did correct myself, that it was a federal judge, not SC. And I posted a link to the case, libel, if I recall, McDougall. You provided a link to dispute that, this was the Snopes link you posted. BTW I figured you for 30/30 on that vocabulary quiz.

Well King, "This case is closed!"
                    They are ALL opinion news!
                    Every swingin' major channel.
There is no more Cronkite news!
Over 30 years I watched Cronkite and it was not until after he retired I was surprised to learn he was a liberal.
