I have fixed the post, inserting the correct DAY 4.

Day 3 HWY 34 is in RMNP entrance fee required W/O park pass and something about entrance time reservations to restrict excess travel.
Anyone with more knowledge of RMNP and patience can clarify the entrance time qualifier?

I rode it a few years ago and remember no fees.
Perhaps my senior pass was used, I can't 'member for sure.

I’ve been there several times, there is a guard shack set up like a toll booth and they alway collect something, it doesn’t matter, it’s one of the best roads I’ve ever been down, this is a great place to slow up and keep your head on a swivel, there is a lot to see. a good part of it is above timberline and you will likely see herds of elk, bighorn sheep and mountain goats. Take the time to check out the Stanley hotel in Estes Park before going into the RMNP, link is attached, it’s where Doc Holiday went after the shoutout at the OK corral.

I think I was wrong, from what I can find on the web Doc Holliday went to Glenwood Springs in the late 1800’s, southwest of Estes Park, the Stanley Hotel location wasn’t started until the early 1900’s. Still a very cool place nonetheless.

A little chilly up on top of Mount Evans, but all the rest should be
                  nice and toasty.

Tis our best time of the year here (July, August, September) and temps are back to mostly normal high 70s to low 80s.
