The Milwaukee eight 114 is actually the upside to this bike, of course it is no rocket, but there is plenty of torque and horsepower for a stock engine.
The bike is fine, but it could be so much better, things that come stock on the Indian are an up charge for the Harley Davidson, so my problem isn’t as much with the bike as it is with the motor company for relying on image, rather than putting out a product that competes with other manufacturers.
I plan on selling it and buying another Indian

Well stated.👍 Image is everything to HD. I like Harley as I have owned three of them although they were always dogs but comfortable dogs. Now they are getting more HP but you pay the price and then an additional 5 or 6K to have a stage 2 or 3 to get 10 more HP. You pay to play. That should be their moto.😄

You guys with 2,3, 4 and 5 motorcycles. if I get 5K a year on my Rocket it's a good year. You guys are lucky but I feel my riding days are dwindling. I get excited for long trips but not so much anymore 100 mile a day trips. I have been everyplace in California over and over since I started riding after I left Florida. If I had penny every time I was on the PCH I would have maybe $10.00 but that's beside the point😄 . My desire is still there but I rode for a living for 10 years so I'm slowing down. Still dig it and will never be without a bike even if its to just polish.

I was actually born in California in Corona outside of Riverside. Father was in the military so we moved a lot until he retired and we moved back to Cali when I was 14 years old. I use to love California but after the Rodney King riots things went south quickly. It went from a place I loved to a place I now loath. It's tough to leave as my 3 kids and their family's live here. We are all thinking of a way out but only one is actively looking. My grandkids are from 19 years to 5 months. Try pulling your wife away from a 5 month old grandson. It ain't happening so I'll just complain and hate the political climate around here. Other than that I'm groovy.😄

Given your size versus my size, my XT would be perfect for you! I'll save it for you.

Bull, the top speed of the 390 vs the 250 is very different, i can ride the 390 from here to your house at 80mph non stop, the xt could probably see a top end around 73 to 76mph, which means crusie speed could be around 60, it would take me 3 months to get there, but you are correct, the xt sit a lot lower than the 390, it sucks being a midget!!!
