    Utopia backrest

Are anyone of you, using one of these?

Have one on my FLHP (Road King Police) - really like it. High quality work, rock solid and fabulous customer service.

Got it in the middle of Covid. Person answering phone was very helpful and apologetic about delivery time. I got impression they were fulfilling orders by working on seat parts at home of skilled-persons, so basically instead of seat going across different tradesmans' workstations at factory, seat would go from home to home so each person could add their part of the assembly. What impressed me was the dedication to get things delivered to the customer in as timely a fashion as possible.

They also worked with me to make sure I had right bracket and upholstery pattern. My bike is an 09 so it originally had an air-bladder suspended seat. I had changed the seat sub-frame to allow a later-model coil-over shock seat suspension. They made sure I got right bracket/upholstery pattern.

    My version of backrest

I ran one on my Rocket Roadster for a few years, then with a Corbin seat.
Bought mine from 'Ol Hanso back in the day . . . was a fine unit that worked well.
I actually liked it better than my current Corbin back rest.

        Thank you for that Bull.
Mine arrived a couple days ago, fitted it took a little ride found it comfy. Then removed it the next day. Just want it for long trips, everyday use would be very inconvenient, (short legs)

I hear ya on the short legs - mine only 29" inseam.
I wish my Corbin back rest folded. I've resorted to first stepping left foot on board; makes it way easier.
However, it still sux huge when climbing off with left foot on ground.

Do you have any experience with the Utopia backrest, and if so, what are your thoughts on its comfort and convenience for long trips?

For those with shorter legs, what backrest solutions have you found to be more practical and convenient for everyday use?

            Grey beard,
There is no OEM back rest with the solo seat, no?

Maybe not Though I'm sure somebody made one using the oem rear seat plate.

I'd like to know more about this.
I did one for a solo seat R3R using a Utopia back rest.
Would like to find a less spendy method.

Sadly I no longer have parts or I'd R&D it. I gave all my parts to a mate here.
        Working...
