Why you trying the Road 5 tired of the Cobra's? I like the Chromes but if someone finds something better I'd give it a go. šŸ‘šŸ»

I've ran three Cobras up front and the Road 5 was noticeably superior in the twisties and for mileage.

Mr. Mouse, the Michelin Road 5 is a rear tire mounted in reverse on my old model Rocket Roadster. It has a different size and profile that changes the steering geometry of the bike and does make it handle better and makes the turn in effort feel less. It should out last any other front tire also.

I hope Speedy or Oldbull join in because they can give a much better description of how it is different and why it does what it does. I was following their lead.

I run 40 in the rear CT, 38 when I have the Exedra on and 36 in the front Pilot. 444 in the back are at near zero preload. Front is Progressives with 7 oil.

          You Mel are correctamundo!
I have ran three of these tires up front so far and they are absolutely the best front tire I have EVER fanged twisties on!
I run 38 in my rear Exedra Max and 34 in the Road 5.

I don't think tbh it's actually JUST the R5 itself. I think part of it is also that the crown profile is close to that of the E-Max.

My thoughts were that the Road 5 is is a rear by manufacture intent and putting on a front would call for a lower pressure that the max pressure indicated on the tire. I like the idea of running softer at 34 lbs.
