    Tired.

I think I’m getting tired of bitching. I felt free to voice my opinions that were not accepted on the other place and had my say but I think I’m getting over it.

Politics is out of my control and my thoughts are powerless.
Covid is real but something is not right.

Im not gone but just may bow out of the fray a bit. I think I need to focus on my blessings and exercise some positivity.

    Mel.

Ps need something me better weather and some bike time.

I’m trying to control expenditures. I spent a lot on household furnishings at Christmas and I need to rebuild the fun money bucket.

Actually Dr.D - Just being marginally sensible for a bit.

I TOO, AM TIRED. And let me be clear - I really don't care one iota about US political issues. Coz it really does not affect me. BUT I AM TIRED.
I am a practiced "button pusher", I enjoy the manipulation of others - But again I AM TIRED. I embrace witty social intercourse, BUT I AM TIRED.

I do not pay attention to the news AT ALL simply because it is no longer informative.
I like information, I have a brain, it's a pretty good one, I think: and I like to process information and not opinions.

Also - and this is age - I HATE FUCKING VIDEO NEWS. I want to read, savour, and ingest at my speed. I want to use my brain.
No I do not have an idetic memory but I process information faster than many.
I can also - through, I admit, training (thanks dad!) - read between lines really fast.
I cannot play chess, but I can see consequences of action, apparently way before many.

I seem to be in a minority. At one level this is invigorating - but we all need a foil for our egos - And they are, apparently few and far between. I AM TIRED.

Like all old men (and I guess, women) I view the world based on experience - but the past is the past.
It's what is to come that intrigues me. A dichotomy we all, I believe, suffer with.
And when I can see no "immediate future" though the F.U.D.P.C of others I despair for those for whom the future matters most.
            And that aint us oldies.

And who is to blame for this lack of "vision" - WE ARE. THERE! - I'VE SAID IT. We are all as guilty as sin.

AND I AM TIRED. My back hurts, I am physically weaker, my eyes are dull, my ears whistle non-stop. But my brain cannot comprehend this and therefore all my lifelong distractions require more time and seemingly effort - SO I AM TIRED.

Time for my nap - Because - after all that, I AM TIRED

I am not going anywhere. I just wanted Mel to know he's not the only one.

Here I feel I can just sit back and watch the squabbling without having to worry about violence breaking out. I can be my devil's advocating self and nobody takes issue. Well except maybe Mr Blue Tiger, but we have each other's measure, don't we sweetie!.

I have left R3O behind - but more because it was time. I don't feel I have much to say or learn there. Here we actually say less - but maybe mean more.

                I will say one thing.

BREXIT has "upset" me. It directly impacts my life (admittedly still to a minor degree), but I was denied a say in the affair. I'm not annoyed, not even miffed or peeved. But upset. Not so much the outcome, but the path to get there.
Two years ago I predicted the outcome of just about everything that is hitting the fan now. And COVID was used to occlude this from the unseeing. This has nothing to do with politics and everything to do with Politicians.
It saddens me that it is so easy to manipulate humans - though it's something I have always reveled in being able to do. As some may know I am a diagnosed Psychopath.

Still there we are. My nice new Helly Hansen boots have just arrived with Mr Amazon. I will be drinking good beer later on https://www.cervezaslavirgen.com/ at the brewery. I am contented.

You have just stated exactly what has gotten so deeply piercing into my soul.
It’s NOT the person who won or got cheated outa the win. It’s the unbelievable “how did we come to this” that we are forced to swallow without any choice of our own.
These times will test us greatly. We must batten down the hatches and overcome it. All of us..... together!

I too am tired, of the political warfare in which "winner takes all." Civility in politics and in our daily lives has declined to an alarming low. When neighbors are enemies, when information is so accessible and truthfulness so scarce, when a common national identity has morphed into M.P.D. (multiple personality disorder,) we are in trouble.

The gulf between the press, Congress, and Supreme Court from common Americans is alarmingly vast. When Congress persons face a camera with the stare of a deer caught in headlights and wonder how Americans could storm the capital; when they transpose civil discontent with abhorrent felonious behavior, one has to query as to which "wonderland" they live in. It is certainly not the world in which most of us live. Thus the events of the past weeks will reoccur.

When speech is un-fettered and void of decency or morality, such as the voice of Alex Jones, many who are already ill at ease will listen. Until we ask our neighbors near and far why and truly understand the other's plight and then demand our representatives act on our common behalf, or vote them out of office, we will reap the discontent that has been sown. Discontent is always used to manipulate people. It is akin to fear.

I am tired of people voting for the same representatives and expecting different results; the very definition of insanity. Every vote for a Biden or Pelosi or McConnell or any Senator or Representative who has been in office more than two terms is a vote for exactly what we have just experienced.

Pardon me my good friends: pour me a good bourbon: time to step down from the soapbox and imbibe.

Speedy; the present state looks like a one party government. I hope, for the life of my grandchildren and those who survive me that The Republic survives this hole we seem to have carved ourselves into. Perhaps there is gold in the hole, we are about to find out.

I agree with you.. Alex was an agitator selling vitamins from a digital soap box. There's fellas like that in both camps.
So are many of the capitolians from both sides of the aisle.

Have a sip for me, I can't any more. I'm a retired Rum aficionado. Cheat but very little.

“how did we come to this”?

Simply - we let it. We cannot blame Millennials for this. In 2016 none could vote. And very few now.
We whine and moan about how Millenials do not understand. But the plain simple fact is that they are the future and WE do not understand what they want. And imo should not force our whims upon them.

For my sins I was born with a very analytical brain. It's a curse if I'm honest. I see cause and effect in just about everything. I have almost no empathic response so I am always distant from human feelings. 15 years ago I struggled with this. I now do not. I see the world for what it is. Menaced by the majority of humans. Why? - because so many are Darwin invalidated. I say this fully cognisant that I am probably among them - physically certainly.

There is so much that we (I) choose to ignore. I am not an anarchist, but tend to disobedience. I have no religion, no faith except maybe in my own ego.

So much more I could say - but I keep losing server connection!. And all this thinking makes me tired.
