    The Climate Change Debate

    When I was in college, 1973, tectonic plate theory was demonstrated as scientific fact. Fascinating it was. The world is still waiting for the final shake that will sink California into the Pacific ocean. The only single solution to burning energy to accommodate humans is to eliminate humans. It's been tried before.

    Since God is in control of when the world will end. How is it man thinks he/she is omnipotent enough to cause anything that over rides God’s plan?

            Back in1973 it was a scientific fact that the earth was cooling down and that there would soon be an "ice age".

              Earth's climate is and has always been constantly changing. It is changing now, and getting warmer. This is a fact. However, we can argue the extent of humanities' impact on earth's climate. Are we the sole cause? How much is our contribution? Would changing our behaviors have the impact on climate that many scientists believe it would? How do we know that we would not be better off long term adapting to a different climate than trying to maintain our choice of climates? These are all debatable questions.

              As to EasTexOutlaw's comment about God determining the end of the world: How do you know she is not using mankind to perform the destruction on her behalf?

                The climate has warmed up for sure. Much of North America was covered by a glacier at one time. I wonder how many cars and bike it took to warm the place up?

              Blain, God allowing man to be the vehicle of change is obviously a valid question that I’ve thought about often. And my point is actually that God determines when and how it ends and if he permits many to be the vehicle then that’s the how.
              I want you to understand that when I make a comment on a “religious” topic, I’m not pretending that my opinion is the Gospel. It is only my interpretation of how I believe it and I’ll throw it out there for others to chew on. You accept it or not - it’s your choice thru your own volition.
              That being said, my other opinion on man destroying the world is this: I believe man lives in stages of “dispensations” or categories of time. That when Christ was here, that was the age of his incarnation. Now he’s ascended and the dispensation turned into the church age that we now are in. The next prophecy to be fulfilled at the end of this church age will be The Rapture, and that will begin the dispensation of the 7 year Tribulation. At the end of the tribulation will be the 1000 Millennial reign of Christ. At the end of the Millennium God will bring the world to its end and I just don’t see how man treating the climate thru his actions fits into that picture because during the millennium it is supposed to perfect environment like it was in the garden of eden.

              Again, just MY beliefs. You can take it or trash it. Your volition

                Does anyone now what is a rocket launch CO2 emission's in tons? How about the whole they make in the Ozone layer. How about the meteor showers... do they damage the ozone layers. How about the cosmic rays and emissions by the sun? How about volcanoes, do they contribute to the perfect chaos that our atmosphere is? Is there any order in chaos?

                      Good match for the Flat Earth Society. The earth has indeed become flat. It is here-now-everywhere-at the same time.

                      Soylent Green is PEEEOPLE! We've just been practicing with livestock. Cannibalizing body organs goes on. Started with blood. Now transplant medicine is big business.

                      Planet of the Robots is here and now. Robot workers, robo-cops, robot soldiers, robot-callers, robot surgery. A robot president would be better than what we'v got. At least it would have memory.
