I don't really have a problem with any of those, except the pipeline, that I don't get. I pipeline has to be the safest way to move oil it doesn't sink or go off the rails, the oil is going to move somehow either way. Seems like the terrorists all disappeared, anyone else noticed that?Comment

I'm an anarchist at heart, Rick. I've crossed a lot of borders in my life, I never could see any lines on the ground. I grew up within a mile of Canada, am I special because I was born 2 miles further south of some other guy? I understand being proud of something I did, but what exactly did you do to ever become American? You were born, period, so you're proud that you were born? Lol, all by your own hard work and effort? Based on government fiat or decre. Puerto Rico could have easily remained a territory, in which case Puerto Ricans would still be US nationals, but not citizens, an important distinction. Or the could have become independent, like they Phillipines, in which case they also wouldn't be citizens. My point was that it's arbitrary, chance, something you have no control over. 1000 apologies if you took it as a personal attack or prejudice, I swear that was not my intention, not even close.

During my 35 years of residing in Texas, I have encountered several people uninformed about PR unaware of the contributions of the Puerto Rican people to this country and the world in the past and in the present. The list is lengthy if one cares to look. Puerto Ricans have not been or are a load to the USA like some may think but a mine of talented human gold, a national treasure. -

Clint, do not take everything so literal. No one is forcing anybody to accept their personal opinions - merely expressing their own.
This is an open forum with the exchange of many opinions - some are erudite & some are assinine.
Chris, you have got to be kidding! People choose where they wish to live and raise their families. My grandfather chose to leave Germany and live in America. People who choose to live together form borders and countries in order to self govern.
Laws and rules are made to establish just how they wish to live and so that all may know what they are and what to obide.
Knowing these laws and requesting permission to enter is paramount to the continued success of the country.
Those born to citizens of the country are fortunate; however, they do have the opportunity to move to wherever they wish outside the country.
Without borders, there is no control, therefore no law, therefore no contribution to support the country. The end result is anarchy and we all sink to the lowest common world wide denominator of life quality.
Check out the immigration laws of Mexico.
I have and they are much more strict than ours. Why should thes laws not be reciprical? Why should they be only one fucking way?

you’ve stated before that you are not a “believer” or are a non Christian. That is what makes the difference in your statement. That is why it is called GRACE. All we are required to do for salvation is believe in our savior. That’s all. Grace - not earned or deserved.
Sure we were put where we were put before our belief was in play. Did an omniscient God, knowing all there is to know, know if we would or would not believe before we were “placed”? I don’t pretend to know.
And I’m not putting this out there for a response or a debate because I will not. And the reason is because I don’t cram anything down anyone’s throat nor do I have the time or texting stamina to put out all that I could say.
That being said. You must see that to a believer, it is a direct insult to us to be told we are who we are, where we are due to luck and how dare us to not be ashamed amongst the unfortunate. That is where the line must be drawn even if among friends. And Chris, you know you are my friend and I love you as I do many of our brothers and sisters of our Rocket family.
I also apologize to you for letting myself fall to oversensitivity in feeling a need to have Rick’s back on this but knowing he’s also a believer I knew this hurt him too.
