I will come clean, if I may. You guys know that I am a Trump sympathizer and that his policies were laid and delivered along what I think is right for our country however, the riots were unnecessary. I am surprised that Trump's closest friends did not approach him in time and tell him.....Donald, just let it go. Mr. Trump failed to measure the risk of gathering his sympathizers in DC the day of the electoral vote counting when both chambers were full. It cost four lives. In my opinion all heroes. They died in combat not riot. The building was not secure. It's chief guardian was asleep at the wheel. The rioters... we don't know what drove some of them to storm the capitol building.
We had a whole summer of riots and cities burn and looted, including DC allegedly over the wrongful death of GFloyd and other black folks at the hands of the police. I am saddened that Mr. Trump failed to see a riot coming and change his plans. That was a mistake. As to the election preambles and process, I am still in the "election was stolen camp". I am disappointed that the opposition calls foul after promoting rioting by calling it peaceful protest for months. I am disappointed in that the ambition for power, bullying, greed and revenge is what drives the wheels of our country these days.
There is no simple solution here. Hatting and ridiculing Trump and his supporters is not likely to improve things. The TV and social communications moguls want Trump and Trumpers to stop existing... They need to stop these attacks. This irritates the situation very much. Over 70 million American voting citizens can not be stumped on and ordered to be silent and obedient or else. Just like Mr. Trump should have judged the field last Wednesday better, I pray for those taking charge to exercise good judgment in order for the country to function. Dedicating themselves to persecute is likely to backfire. Good luck my fellow Americans, we are going to need it.Comment
