    Beer

For no reason at all. Some thoughts on portions.

    From right to left

Small 0.25L tin (OK this was a "tonic" tin). Worrying but you can have lots and always fresh!.
"Standard" 0.33L tin - Coke comes in this size too - OK for outdoor barbies as they don't warm up once out of the cool box (unless you drink like a wuss)
My local Brewers 1.0L take away tin. This one was their Cider.
My Local Brewers Refillable bottle - 2L - I have two. One gets filled with a perennial the other with the seasonal Special. Weekly.

    But today - HERESY - is a G&T day.

I thought you were a rum guy.
          IPA sucks IMHO.
I preferr dark porter or stout.

I love SPICED RUM. Full bodied ALES, CIDER, MÄRZEN style lagers. In summer wheat beer. Heavy malty trappist beers too. But oddly Stouts I really do not savour as much. My local brewer does powerful Imperial Stouts - but at 11% b/v they knock you out too fast.

I had to go to Mich Ultra, at 8-9% the IPAs were making me drunker and fatter at an increasing rate.

Our local brewer does an excellent "Märzen". But it is a seasonal beer. Their other that I like a lot is called "Jamonera" - https://www.beerhawk.co.uk/la-virgen-jamonera - it is "Quaffable".

I feel the Caliph should try the Jamonera with Proper Iberian "Pata Negra" Jamon (Ham) - Maybe with a fresh fig from ol' greybeard's fig tree. And after we can hit the local wine - Maybe a dark spiced rum (anything less than a bottle is plain rude). I'll get my Cuban "brother" over. Headache warning.
