Wildly off track - but saw videos yesterday of the Ucranian T-Rex and Alligator rifles. Holy Crap.

Ya I bought the 50AE back oh 30 years ago. But like I said you'd have to wear Jacket for concealed. In Virginia here they have open carry. I picked because its versatility. Semi automatic for emergency or tactical reload. Shoots thru kevlar and automobile's. And using full compressed rounds made it a easy round to load. I think the Israelis new what they were doing.

For my rifle I plan on getting a green dot holographic sight by EOTech.
Our tactical qualifications go out as far as 15 yards and the green lasers I use all reach it easy in the daylight.

And thats fine...it works for you. Your position however is still compromised, especially at night. I'll stick to a halographic red dot with a high output light on the front of my custom JP rifle.

If you ordered the Armalaser or Viridian, you will be impressed.
Even in bright sunlight I Cas see mine at 15 yards.

This is not a nighttime sneak attack on a target. This is a combat situation where you have already identified a threat.
The laser merely aims your shot(s). You are not hunting around in the dark looking for a target.

I thought we were talking about pistols.
I have EOTechs on my rifles. Totally different applications.

They are not totally different applications. Laser will still give away your position. So my thoughts apply to either. Let’s just agree to disagree as my opinion is not changing.😊

Got the laser installed. Only downside is it doesn't fit in my pocket holster anymore

              Google "Sticky Holster".

You're overthinking it, it's for personal protection, not guerrilla warfare.

Uh, it helps zero in on the target faster. When you are in a situation where you HAVE to use the gun, Adrenalin flowing, the quicker you get on target you beat the perp to the punch. Period

And yes, the laser zeros in on where you are but it is about beating the bastard to the punch, first to the target.

In most situations you really don't have the extra time to aim and fire and that's where a laser comes in. You can see the direction/path of the laser when engaged and anticipate where it will be as you pull the trigger. You don't need to be flush on target so you pull the trigger faster and hopefully you beat the bad guy to the punch. Anyone that takes time to sight the bad guy in takes a chance on being last to the punch. This is in a dark, close encounter home invasion type incident. Defending yourself in say a Mall you would have to be on sight 100% before you pull the trigger. If not bystanders could be impacted. Anyone that engages in an incident is asking for trouble. Use your skills and weapons to get out of trouble and hopefully help the innocent people around you without injuring anyone but the Puke. I know, easier said than done. Get CCW insurance also!! You will be sued if you get involved no doubt about that.
