A scary test for Ol' Bulls!.

Remove the JW-Speaker adaptives and go out at night on unlit windy roads with the stock halogens in. Scary does not cover it.

I took my Speakers out when I put the bike up for sale. But they're going back in until some idiot (I mean upright discerning fellow) buys it.

Grey Beard has done the ultimate light test!!!
He ran the best lights there currently are and went back to the OEM???
What guts! - What test dummy fearlessness! - What idiocy!

      Ricardo,
FYI - I still have Kong and he still wears the Adaptive 2s!
I am ruminating on whether to move them over to YurMama or purchasing new ones now on sale for under $500 each.

The cheapo sineeze ones have worked well for me. The OEM were next to nothing. I don't ride in the dark any way. Can't see chit and there are too many stupid folks still texting at night.

Ah yes - the lunacy of hubris. Taking teh KTM to work today. The lights are excellent - only failing in the adaptive part - which is a bit of a bugger - coz the road is windy and unlit and the KTM can take them much faster. The ride home is daylight!

I drive to work through the country surrounded by wildlife. It's partly why I have FUCKING bright lights usually. Today's deer moved before I could limbo-dance the KTM under it's tummy. Wish I had a dash cam on the KTM - It was truly a really nice example - Not sure I could bring myself to shoot it - that nice!. Loads of points and very noble bearing.

Adequate headlights are an important factor riding in the daylight as well.

Daylight requires DAYLIGHT RIDING LIGHTS. Loads of scatter - very broad. Using JWS is simply cheating - But hey that's what we do.

      Chris,
Given your example, I'd be running my Clearwater Ericas along with the JWS Adaptives.

I will refit the JWS 6150 fogs when I refit the Adaptive1's. I found some stunning and cheap spots for the KTM.

I avoid night riding. I ride for fun so I get to choose times.

Riding with GOOD (@1olbull or barbagris approved) lighting means night work really is fun. It's when it's dark, cold and wet (or snowing) the hubris of good lights wears off damn quick.

We came back from a friends house at about 8:30 pm in the truck and I commented to Sandy that it seems strange to be on the road after dark. We are rarely out after sunset in any vehicle.šŸ˜‚ The places we ride would not be any fun after dark and most likely dangerous. I’d hate to try the Rattler,Snake,Devils Triangle or Copper Head Road in the dark.

If insuring that you are seen by cages by using the best headlights available is cheating, then color me Dirty Cheatin' Ol' Bull.

Sound is NOT the same, or nearly as good, as light vision.
Direction and distance location of the sound source is difficult.
I have dealt with this in many collisions resulting in driver inability to locate the siren of an approaching police, fire, or ambulance.

Not sure how sound helps you see at night - unless you are "Batman".
