    OCC Dream Bike competition

Hey guys, most know of my cause to bring more awareness to veteran and active duty suicide prevention. After all, I did do a 224 miles swim in 2017 to help shine a light on the issue.

Anyway, I entered the Orange County Chopper Dream Bike competition. If I win, Paul Sr. will build my dream chopper. it will have long endurance and themed to help bring more awareness to the cause. I will be on the show as well.

If you will, please give me a vote each of the next 7 days. If you have Facebook, you can vote once per day. If not, you can donate to the SPCA and each dollar counts as a vote for me. So far, I am #1 in my group of 144 other contestants.

Ok, I’m in and will come back tomorrow. Bound to be a way to leverage the option to buy votes...I need to think about this a minute, Who wants to buy a chance to ride an OCC chopper?

Thanks, I see I am still # 1 this morning, so far so good. Several others in my group keep changing places so I know they are coming after me.

I was going to add $10 worth of votes, but no PayPal option, I d rather not give some unknown my CC number, so I'll try to remember to vote daily.
What could be more American than buying votes? šŸ™„

This picture is from 14 June 2017 on the swim. I surely did love the calm water days. Not all were this nice. Kind of like life in a way. Some days are better than others.

I am still at the top of my group thanks to the continued votes I get each day, thank you for helping!

This picture is me walking out of the water on day two of the long swim. I had just completed two days of 14+ miles of swimming in the Potomac River. Many people expected I would not show for day three. They do not get it I suppose. A Rescue Swimmer, even an old, fat one, dose not quit when saving lives.

I have done no public speaking this year, but when I win the OCC bike, it will be my main ride to such events talking about suicide awareness and prevention.Click image for larger version

I asked the folks running the competition today how many groups they have. They wrote back to say that more people are joining daily so they do not have a total. They did say that out of each group, the top 15 would then enter a run off to announced soon after the voting.
Just three more days in this round.

15 hours to go in this phase of voting and I am still #1 in my group. Thank you all who have supported me thus far.

Based on the website, the top 15 from each group go into a run off phase after voting is over tonight. Here's hoping!

I asked the Dream Chopper Team for clarity: The Discover page is ranked by who is Trending (bikers with most profile views), Popular is the most popular (bikers receiving the most Free Daily Votes), movers (has recently moved up in rank), and Rescue (bikers receiving the most Rescue votes). It is something their system determines automatically. They do not manually choose who appears in those sections.

I am still #1 in my own group but not enough looks to be trending yet.

                      Thanks for your continued votes!
