Oddly the Vision was the bike I wanted back when. But I couldn't afford it - so I bought a Rocket.
I still think the anti fall over thing on the Vision is pure genius.

But downsizing to the Guzzi V85 may well be one of the best ideas I have ever had.

The V85 still has my interest. The seat may be a tad high for my 5'9 stature but I may travel south through the jungles of Sacramento to check one out. If I don't make it back you know what happened. I'll take my Rocket so all they see is a blur.

Rode my buddy's several times because he wsnted to ride my Ninja.
A poor handling disco bike with a nice engine, IMHO. My 29" inseam had no problems. I do remember having to placd my head into the shield in order to drag-race the V85.

Not a glowing post about the V85 Bull. I certainly don't like disco but an 80's crush on Donna Summer. I have a 30" inseam so I should be good. it's a fantastic looking bike and I do want to give it a ride. Gotta keep all options open on my last bike. Maybe almost my last bike...πŸ‘

I said it had a good engine, but the chassis sucked. In fast curves it would wallow from flex and force a slow down, or else.
"Disco bike" means chopper look, ride for fun, not for performance. Nothing wrong with that, just not my cup O' tea.πŸ˜Άβ€πŸŒ«οΈ

Huh, never heard of the term but I do like it. Just for info what year was it? Maybe they have addressed that issue. truthfully there are at least a dozen motorcycles out there that I would very much like to take a spin on. A few Guzzi's, 2 or 3 Triumphs just one BMW, no HD's or Ducati. The Goldwing maybe and the Yamaha Tracer. I do like the Speedmaster. best looking bike out there along with a T120.

I guess to some extent it depends on your personal dimensions. The Forks are not bad and can be adjusted - New cartridges would be easy enough to do. The rear shock is HARSH and not compliant really. But can easily be stripped and rebuilt to you. I did. Night and Day. I'm five eight and mid 80's (in kilograms) - Would better forks help - maybe. I also had the shop reduce shock extension by 12mm.

You could also maybe look at the new Guzzi Stelvio. Very different character.

I don't believe the Tracers are in the same class as a Rocket although they seem like a fun all around bike. It's lighter than my last 3 Rockets and seems much less hassle to just pull it out of the garage, hop on and go like my Yamaha 1100 and even my HD Street Bob. This is where the Triumph T120 comes in also. I could easily afford another Motorcycle but I don't ride the one I have that much. Having lived prior in the bay area, around 80 miles from where I live now I have hit every road one can imagine over and over and OVER again. I have been riding in Cali for 50 years now. There really isn't a place I haven't been to that I can think of. Maybe out towards Death Valley/Palm Dessert area. That part interests me now but hasn't up until recently. I have driven in 4 wheels many times but never 2 in that area. The roads are nothing but pot holes in all of California so that doesn't help. The traffic is harder to get away from also. I'm rambling on so, Peace.

              MM re: last pist
Agreed! Nice easy handling, much lighter weight motor has more appeal the older I get. The only motor I have enjoyed more than my R3R was my sport bikes, especially the 900 & 1000 Ninjas.
