    Buying a new bike

About every three years I buy a new bike
The only time it really has ever changed is when I was riding the R3T which I kept for five year before buying the Roadster.
I figure this bike will probably be the last bike I buy since I have already outlived my own life span expectations
I have already decided not to buy another new Rocket although if I ever come across a good deal on a used one I will snatch it up quickly.
    here are the two finalists
    Contestants #1 and 2
Do I go for my third Indian? Or do I head back to the Darkside for the Harley?
i’m not sure I like the new fairings on the Indian though...

I agree! Although between the two The Harley at least has twin headlights and looks ok, The Indian fairing looks like an afterthought to me.
I am rather disappointed in the fact that Triumph has still has not stepped up to the plate with a true touring motorcycle

I agree with Dave. Wait until you find one than makes you wanna rub chamois butter on “it”

I like the looks of the third one, from that angle, at least. No one can help you, it depends on what you want.

Try a test ride on the Indian Challenger.

Calm down my good friend. I read no insult in the previous post(s).
Remember, opinions are like armpits - everybody has at least 2.
If you want a nice comfy land yacht, then I don't see how you can beat the Indian you have now. IMHO, Harley does not match up.
I'm curious what is causing your itch to buy a different bike? Is it loss of satisfaction, or just plain boredom?
The great thing about motors is that, unlike wives, we can have more than one! 🤪

I did, I liked it a lot, unfortunately I was going to have to piece it together to make a decent touring bike out of it, trunk , seat, for starters. I may still revisit it again though

The seat does suck and an Indian tour pack is expensive. The motor and handling of the bike is superb. Good luck.

My brother in law has an Ultra Classic and your Indian looks much better. Mucho better. The HD is slo to go and slo to stop. Sounds good. At 85 mph it sounds like it's going to spit a piston out a tail pipe. It would take me 1 second to choose the Indian.

If I was going to buy a indian it would be the dark horse but of course the price would have to come way down

I have had 3 Harley's but the last was a 1991 30 years ago so I have no idea what a new Harley rides like. I have a hunch it's exactly like my 79, 89, and 91 HD. I like the feel of the Harleys but have always wanted a Indian. I would ride both but I would hope the Indian would win out. Have fun riding them. Don't bend to peer pressure and get a Vespa.

I rode a new Harley of my buddies two weeks ago. The motor was smooth but soft in power and it felt cramped for rider room. My Roadmaster does have the tall boy seat and that made the world of difference for me.
