I was down there in the pan handle in 1969 during Camille. It took out Mississippi and bama but still hit the outskirts of the panhandle hard. 12 hours before it hit I was outside the house and it sounded like a jet engines in the distance. Freaky!

I am typing this now waiting for the storm which we should start feeling the effects Wednesday morning. I am right outside Ft.Myers where we are due for a direct hit. It will be outta here by around 2am Thursday morning. Hopefully we will survive mostly intact. Only good thing is I don't own this house!
