So I was curious what taxes and DMV costs I would pay for a motorcycle that cost $23,000 (the GT is $22,600 and the 2021 is $23200). So even before the Triumph dealer crap that's added on of anywhere from $2500 to $3,695 I would pay living in Placer county with a tax rate of 7.25 (that's low for California as some areas are in the 8.25 zone). So the taxes are almost $2,000 including DMV fees. It's interesting what you pay for. Reflectorized license plate fee, Is there a dumbass Governors fee? The city I would buy the bike in is Roseville.

Buddy that sales tax ain’t shit, it’s the state income tax that is eating you up. States like TN have a %9 sales tax but no state income tax. One way or another the government is going to rob you.Comment

Actually before Trump gave us the tax break the Federal tax was bad and the state tax is high depending where you shop. In San Fran the tax rate is 8.5 % . Wow. If I give my kids cash over 30K they get taxed on it. A gift tax. Evidently the gift is to the state of California.Comment
