My father was a tool maker and designer. He rode motor since he was 18 (1938) until the 60s when he fell in love with flying. He became a pilot, bought a Cessna 170, then decided to build his own experimental plane. In his later years (circa 1990) I would take Dad to Oshkosh, WI for the EAA Fly in. One of Dad's highlights was meeting and speaking with Chuck Yeager. Yeager was there to commemorate the unveil of the P-51 restoration that he flew in Korea. The Oshkosh EAA is a great event if you ever get the chance. I took Dad there 5 years, I'm not an airplane buff like my father was, but I always enjoyed and learned from our visits to Oshkosh.

Thanks for the memories, General Yeager!

No Just Old Age. CY was only 24 when he broke the sound barrier.
