    Back on the horse

I had knee surgery 9 weeks ago, then an infection and a second operation 3 weeks later, followed by 2 weeks in a brace, so I couldn't start physical therapy. I was really concerned about my range of motion, the doctor said that I would probably lose some. 2 weeks into therapy, I've surpassed the best expected 6 week mark, my therapist says I won't lose anything. I deliberately chose my bike with the highest footpegs for my first ride, no problem at all

I'm not sure I'd do the other one after that
It was painful when I was working, but now, retired, I can live with it. Plus it's no longer doing double duty

True. Now you have slowed down and have time to feel the aches and pains. At least with me anyway.

It was a shitty journey, but the destination is OK. Got the infusion port removed from my arm today, been off the oxycodone for a week, and off ibuprofen too the last few days. Pretty much pain free, except sometimes after therapy. I can kneel, climb a ladder, and ride motorcycles no problem. Got a hell of a scar to remember it by, though, lol.

I am surprised that, inspite all you've beeb through, you can do so much!
I have not been able to kneel on my knee to this date since 1987.

1olbull Dr said it can take up to a year for the swelling to go completely away

If the swelling doesn't go down after 4 hours call your Doctor😁. Hey, if it helps your standard of life and improves it then fantastic. That truly is an interesting scar I must say. Your power lifting days will have to be put on hold for a few weeks.👍

I feel uncomfortable with bragging. I made Clint both laugh and cry when I told him my man parts were quite large. He laughed when I told him. He cried when I showed him.😁

Ha! Remember 'Clackers' back in the 70's or 80's? That was a brutal set of balls on a string. That's what my nuts will look like in a few years.

Lol, went for my first day of outpatient physical therapy today, she said you're 100% on everything, you don't need therapy, go home. This morning I dug up 20 arborvities on the property line and transplanted them to the front of the property.

EasTexOutlaw- I heard too many stories of people who regretted the surgery, I tore my rotator cuff 3 or 4 times in my life, it takes about a year and a half or 2 years, but they can heal.
Mighty Mouse- I woke up during my knee surgery, they were pounding it in with a giant mallet, but I couldn't feel it. I also woke up during cataract surgery, imagine a laser beam inside your eye burning the old cornea out, very weird

That's scary for sure. My Doc told me if you have been on pain meds for any length of time they have to use more stuff to put and keep you under. I was on pain meds before during and after and that's why I woke up. On my last colonoscopy the same thing happened although they didn't wait for me to go to sleep. They started rooting me out while I was still awake. I have to tell you, it friggin hurt. I felt like a football was lodged in my colon. I fell asleep maybe a minute after they started. It was an all female group so I'm thinking payback if you get my drift. Was it my imagination I heard giggling and a voice that stated "Hurts huh"? I was expecting to wake up with my ass in the air with a hand full of ones in my hand on YouTube. Okay, after I fell asleep I don't know what happened but I have another one on July 1st. It's been 10 years. I hate them but it's time so I'll be ready.😁
