What a day this has been!!!
Been a tad down since the election. My grandson and granddaughter invited me to their school for a Veterans Day school assembly yesterday.
The gym was filled to capacity with the entire student body. Along one wall were reserved seats for the attending Veterans of all the families.
Called to stand by service branch, each vet was given the mic to identify himself, rank, MOS, and years they served.
HOW KEWL WAS THIS?!?!
The first group was Army - Steve Stockinger - SFC E-7, 1968 - 1974, 11Bravo, Infantry, "You are a GREAT school to do this!!!"Comment

Usually don’t really get into holidays except july4 ( met Karen 1974) to much family served not to have Veterans Day go unnoticed our wedding anniversary and the most important April fools dayComment
