When in the Dallas airport I went into a shop to buy a Diet Pepsi. Credit card or apple pay only. i walked out and watched a clerk less food shop that takes money out of your credit card as you enter, As you pick up your snacks the food is scanned (I don't know how) and the money is taken from your card. So no people (clerks) involved from entering and leaving. At the restaurant in the airport you downloaded the menu on your phone and picked what you wanted. After you pick the food gets made up and the check amount is removed from apple pay or one of the other payment apps. Cash is quickly on the way out. The waitress that saw me struggling while my wife tried to explain it to me helped out and I tipped her cash so no tax was taken out of her tip amount. Cash is dead!
Thatās because they are tired of being forced to pay people that look like they tripped n fell face first into a tackle box n got tattooād by mike Tyson $20 an hour š
Never have ordered anything from online donāt plan on either if they donāt have phone number where I can talk to someone it wonāt never happen will never put credit card number on line no matter how secure they say they are
Cash is on the way out on purpose. They will wind up having some form of govt. digital currency...no banks will be needed. Not only does this insure tax compliance they will then have full control of what you buy...where you travel (think no gas for you) etc. What you can buy will be determined at the flick of a switch. The whole thing will be based on a social behaviour system akin to what China currently has. This is by far the worst thing that could happen to our country and don't for a minute think it can't.
Steve...I use GayPal only when it is the only form of payment accepted and credit cards for all the rest. I know of no alternative. Apple Gay and Google are all run by the usual leftist, tech tyrant scum which I try not to support whenever possible. Not sure if you knew but GoFundMe is a stay away also. Remember how they stole all the monies for the Canadian truckers as per their masters edict. There is however a number of alternatives to them...https://solutionsuggest.com/gofundme-alternatives/
I can't remember the last time I had to use PayPal anywhere. But I know the banking system here is very different to the US. I know that PayPal was seriously hit by the elimination of the eBay:PayPal insistence. And currently they are suffering (as are many traditional banks) from the myriad of FinTechs.
I would consider (if you have not already) one of the FinTechs that allow you to set up one-time-use cards. Always with 2FA and NEVER NEVER NEVER let any device "remember" the password. But treat them as Payment Platforms not banks.
I have always hated going to crowded stores. I was very reluctant to buy anything online and still do mistrust my computer. I got totally hooked on internet buying even though previously I thought Amazon was a stupid idea.
I only use PayPal to transfer money back and forth selling and buying used motorcycle parts from Friends.
Sr Toro - Much better ways than Paypal to do this. Most of the FinTechs are way way better. I use one that is multi-currency. You can hold multiple currencies. Based in the UK, run by Estonians, backed by Belgian central bank. There are others - including some that allow you to hold crpto.
