Well - The time has come.

Well very very nearly. As of tomorrow I will be an "EX" R3 owner.

Had a last run on her yesterday to go and get an MoT test done - refitting the THUGS exhaust today.

    A moment of reflection. <snif>

But realistically I was not really feeling confident on her any more.

    Chris,
Your ownership and ingenuity of that Rocket has brought me enjoyment as well as yourself.
I recently mounted the custom LED Rocket tail light into YurMama and it works well!
I hope you continue to hang around regardless what you choose to ride!

Glad the rear LED thing worked out. I never made one for me. Ended up using the other heat-sinks to make monster desk lamps in the workshop.

            No dear - never - https://genius.com/John-lennon-worki...ss-hero-lyrics

And I do particularly like this bit of the lyrics

Keep you doped with religion and sex and TV
And you think you're so clever and classless and free
But you're still fucking peasants as far as I can see

Well - She's eloped with her new beau. Got a good price and he says he may be back for more parts. Coz I have a fair few. Even NewInBox.
I can offer them on here but the postage will be criminal.

And fret not - I'll be around a bit. This place is more like group therapy than group therapy ever could be.

And where's that Mexican ? - Photos Lupe! - Gwan let everybody see how Spain is!

My neighbor just bought one. He's a heart surgeon and has three bikes. The sound is awesome coming down the road. I have been looking at this one also. It may be my downsize bike before I make it to a Bonney.

Truth be told I have wanted one since they first came out. But the very early ones had valve issues. Guzzi fitted new heads - no questions asked. The 2021 on models have tubeless rims/tyres and that's a must (for me). I won't be going off road - not even dirt road. A guy on our estate has bought two of them - one for him and one for his son. I have test ridden one. It's stable. Not viciously quick. Ideal for distance. And I will still have the KTM790Duke for moments of insanity (which it induces within 10 minutes of riding).

And I was out sittng on Triumph motorcycles today too bad the Bonneville Speed Master doesn't have a tacko on it they sit nice. Not in a rush but it was nice . The lical triumph stealer had a Kawasaki W800. Talk about retro. Didn't sit on any Tigers they were looking tall. I did throw my leg over a couple Scramber's all in all the Speed master fit me best. It was nice to get out and about.

The black and white Speed master is the Triumph I have loved for years. The retro look is cool to me. The power is not adequate for now but in a few years I may do it.

          Aint it just!.

I took my ol' Guzzi out for a couple of hours today. It's been a while as I was just finishing a rebuild when COVID happened here. Pretty much been riding just the KTM for the last 2 years. Ol' Guzzi will do fast - but is comfy-est at about 70mph.

Saw one of the new Tridents outside the Pharmacy on Friday. Very tidy. But I want the shaft drive.

Tempted to wait for the GuzziV100Mandello - but tbh I don't see me riding too many more years. And I'd like to get a couple more UK runs in before I accept "age". Not to mention I forsee "dinosaur Juice" getting more expensive and harder to find before the decade is out.

Will go and see my mate at the Guzzi shop next week.

            Merely FYI -
Going out for a break-in spin with Rob Claviger on his brand new (Yesterday evening) Kawasaki Ninja H2.
            Hope I'm not too embarrassed . . .

              Getting in shape for Spearfish.
Did 316 mi yesterday and 220 today.
Was my first ride today with Rob on his Crusher H2. Still stock, but SOOOO QUICK. It was even more fun to see him as excited as a 7-year-old on Christmas morning.
Twas a great ride, also with my bro, Dan and son, Steve along as well.
All of us are coming to Spearfish.

H2's are really frikkin fast. But just like a KTM 1290 SuperDuke - it's pretty much just waiting to kill you. Ask Rob to stay safe.

I saw a review on the little MV Agusta R3 yesterday. The reviewer summed it up with "In jail or dead" prognosis.
