Let's all take a deep breath and start over. This is getting blown out of proportion, in the real world we'd be sitting around having a beer and talking about motorcycles.

Talking politics and religion never turns out well. I wish I could leave it alone as I always feel like shit after an argument or difference. You should always stand up for what you believe in but when it starts creeping into everyday life and you can't turn it off you have to back off. I don't know why I do this to myself. It isn't healthy. Here is to what Tripps say's. Cheers!

This hasn't been politics - this has been nothing but overbearing RUDE!

What ever happened to just disagreeing with someone instead of the lecture? (not you Bull) I respond better with facts but that's just me. I'm very patriotic but not to a fault where I only see red white and blue. i have a mind of my own and I like to decide my beliefs. That's just me soooooo, come on summer I wanna ride longer than 30 minutes before my privates freeze!!!

What are you going to do when the worlds biggest arms run wild on you? Hulk Hogan. I went to the matches in Sac a number of times years ago to spend time with my big bro. Loved watching the Magnificent Maraco, Brutus Beefcake, Ricky Steamboat and my all time favorite Super Star Billy Graham (and the Pythons)🤣😂. It was as phony as hell although those guys smacked the hell out of each other. The outcome was fixed but the punishment was real. When someone 300 lbs slams another 300 lbs it's going to hurt.

They're just jealous of you Tex. Go easy on the weights and give the rest of us a chance.

Lol, In my day, Bruno Sammartino, Illio DePaulo, Ernie Ladd ( former NFL, I think) Haystacks Calhoun, The Shiek, Johnny Powers ( with the sleeper hold), Von Hess, and others I don't remember. And when I was really little, Gorgeous George and The Fabulous Moolah, I think she wrestled into her 50s, maybe even 60s.

        WOW, the memories!
I was never a fan, but I got free tickets from my girlfriend's Dad who was a high up exec with Adams Peanut butter back in 63-64. Killer Kowalski was my fav. Then in the 70s I worked police security when they came to Tacoma.
I met Andre, The Sheik, and other I can't remember now. Once when walking through the curtains to the wrestler area while on my rounds, I literally bumped into Andre the Giant. My face was in his chest. He spoke very accented English and said, "Excuse me mr. police man". He was very polite.
Another time before the start of a match (on TV), the announcer asked me over the mike to enter the ring to frisk the Sheik for razor blades. Being somewhat of a show-off myself, I eagerly jumped into the ring. When the Sheik, facing me, lifted his arms I shook my head in an exaggerated no and spun him around, placing his hands on the top rope and spreading his legs wide for a proper frisk. After my frisk, the announce requested I check in his trunks. I did so and then lifted my hand up displaying 2 inches between my thumb and index finger. The huge hoot and applause from the audience was the end of my 15 minutes of fame.

I read that “Excuse me” comment in Andre’s voice. And that’s a great story!

No, not I. I wouldn't recognize anyone later than the 60s, not something I ever watched past 10 years of age lol.

I agree. It was dumb entertainment and fun to watch with friends when drinking. I also liked Jesse the body Ventura until he turned into a political tool. He was funny as hell but turned into a wacko. Too many simplexes and Cobra clutches I guess. 😂

Illio Depaulo owned a restaurant in Buffalo, did a tremendous amount of charity work, and if I recall was killed in his 80s, hit by a car crossing the street. I'll have to Google him now, memory is no longer trustworthy.
Edit Huh, he was only 68, and his death was 25 years ago, time flies

Also living in the bay area around 15 years old we would wait for Sacramento wrestling to come on. Ms. Sacramento was known in our area very well. She pointed out the wrestlers on a board but you couldn't see the board cause her boobs were in the way. I'm not sure I ever heard her speak but I was 15 so...

I don't watch wrestling anymore so I have no idea who is out there but it was fun in the 80's.
