Iโ€™d tell him m to keep his damn bear off my property and out of my enclosures. Itโ€™s like they are always wanting to protect the wildlife they are responsible for but when they are a nuisance they are not responsible.๐Ÿ˜ก

I didnโ€™t say I donโ€™t believe in hunting/killing/harvesting..... I just donโ€™t like doing the killing when it comes to animals. No people, thatโ€™s another story.
Yes I will kill what I like to eat but donโ€™t enjoy the kill.
Would NEVER kill just for sport. But thatโ€™s just me. If you do, thatโ€™s your business, I donโ€™t judge those who do

There's a little bit of the feeling personally, the difference between a cow and a deer is the difference between a free man and a slave, maybe not logical, but there's a little bit of that.

Funny coincidence, going through stuff,my wife just brought my hunting coat out, I told her give it to Goodwill. Funny, never emptied the pockets, scope covers go to one daughter who has my shotgun, 30-30 shells go to other daughter that has that gun.

A life is a life to me and killing causes either to be dead. The cow is raised for the express purpose of harvesting for food. Not counting milk cows. The deer lives a free but much more difficult life going about as nature intended, then out of nowhere he is killed quickly, we hope, and becomes food just as the cow. If you were reincarnated today which would you choose? A chance at a full life and a natural death as a deer or farm raised for the slaughter house. The latter involves a ride in the trailer, going to a feed yard the off again in a crowded truck to wait in line for the butcher.

Iโ€™d rather be a deer. The best would be a skunk. Nobody wants to eat you and everything runs from you.๐Ÿคฃ

Iโ€™m not trying to convince you guys to hunt just ruminating ๐Ÿ˜† about the ideas of life on this planet. I would say this is a free country and can hunt by choice or choose not to but thatโ€™s changing fast.

Tell me about it, I live on the Iroquois Wildlife refuge, they issue very coveted permits for waterfowl, deer and small game are allowed, and across the street from the Tonawanda Game Management area, strictly for hunting. When I moved in 32 years ago, opening day for the various seasons sounded like a war zone, now you hardly ever hear a shot anymore. I'm pro hunting, I just got older and lost my killer instinct, I guess.

I can invision the day when I no longer hunt. It can be a lot like work and the weather brutally uncomfortable in addition to getting out of bed way to early. My buddy and I put out food plots and spend lots of money to improve the quality and quantity of wildlife. We love to see the wild animals and kill a few for food. We are good stewards of the land and respect the life of animals. We nearly get sick if we make a bad shot to wound and cause suffering. It happens but we take it hard when it does.

Hunter numbers are down these days with youth preferring the indoors of video games and what ever else they like other than nature and the outdoors.

Deer were not very abundant here in Oklahoma last season, normally the hunters make 5 or 6 kills, last season only 2 were lucky, we still had some venison on the table, just not as much as previous years

We had a bad die off due to Chonic Epizodic Hemoragic Disease two years ago. This is a much more horrible death for the deer than a well place projectile. Our herd numbers are down. Nature kills a lot more deer than hunters do. I hate seeing deer killed by automobiles. A total waste of the resource, unintended death and damage to vehicles with people killed or injured.

Hit one with the van a couple days ago, but I almost managed to stop in time, just knocked her down at 5 mph, she slid 10' and got back up and ran off.

We killed a few deer this weekend and almost a bonus harvest when a deer nearly ran into the side of my truck.
