I had my next door lot cleared a few years ago. Seven log trucks of timber and a big digger like you've shown pulled out all the stumps. We found many antique bottles under all the scrub. I yelled a compliment about his skills to the operator. He told me to stand still, then picked up a pint size bottle from the brush, swung that humongous thing over to me and put it in my hand. Impressed I was!

I don't have a carry permit but, there are situations where I would like to carry without the fear of some cop having a problem if he found a gun on me. The gun merchants and fellow gun owners need to run a big education campaign on how and what to carry and when to and not to pull it out and use it. Not just basic gun safety crap. Situational education.
There is a little bit of open carry here in Houston.

There is more to it than that, Amigo. IMHO, most folks should NOT carry a gun!
Are you truly prepared to kill someone face to face? Better thoroughly soul-search this and be honest with yourself.
Real life is NOT like in the movies. Real dirt-bags do not surrender at the sight of a gun and any hesitation on your part can likely result in your demise.
Expertise from practice shooting targets with accuracy will not save your life in the real world! The real question is: How timely and accurate can you discern, identify the hazard then target, shoot and fatally strike the dirt-bag - all done while shitting your pants at the same time?
If you have never trained tactically or even better, actually experienced the pressure and trauma of a gunfight, things can get very dangerous for you. And on and on and on . . .
Much easier to just ride with me, Amigo. 😁
