      There were several large scars already there from a 1977 compound knee fracture, so it was never pretty anyway :-}
I was very fortunate it lasted me 45 years!

Yeah, Norm, no stitches or staples - all glue!
The scar will be less obvious than the previous three.
I reckon to be on the motor sometime in May to start my motor rehab for Spearfish.

The best plan indeed, Amigo, if you are very lucky and/or a dormant person.
Football, motor racing, 22 years police work took their toll on my body.
What I do it all again?
      Fuck yes!

Glad to here that Bull. Like you I have so much crap wrong with me it takes me a good hour before I can start the day. If I could do it all over I would have won 100% of the fights and not 95%. Even when you win you lose. ๐Ÿ‘

Watch this for extra "Oh fuck" points, my favorite part is where they take the wood chisel to your bones.
FYI this is a video of a knee replacement surgery, and therefore it is graphic.

Very similar with some differences to mine.
My knee had suffered a compound fracture years ago and was complicated by that reconstruction as well as massive scar tissue. The surgery went 2.5 hours longer than normal. Most significant was the use of a robot called ROSA that was connected to both the upper and lower half of my leg. ROSA was able to dial in the angles and rotation to within minutes of an angle (a knat's nut). So fat so good and things are looking real good!

Yeah, the advancements of robotic surgery sure are amazing. I was amazed that the whole area wasn't purple in your picture. Glad to hear things are looking good!

I do have to admit that is one of the longest scars I have ever seen. The grandkids will dig it.

Well I am definitely in contention as my scar goes from my solar plexus to my pubes...32 staples to close. Plus all my guts were lifted out and put on the table. At least thats what I was told. 3-1/2 hours long. Blessed to be here!

Grumpy. You have pubes? I'm freshly shorn in man land. I'll send some pics.๐Ÿ‘
Actually I'm not but it seems anyone who is single at any age it's a prerequisite. Razors by my privates make me nervous so no way!

You are the man for what you went through!
My new knee took nearly 4 hours, 2 hours extra due to complications, but I would not trade you surgeries for any amount of money!

Did you get to keep your knee cap, or did that get replaced too?

I only had half of my kneecap since my 1978 compound fracture.
Tis now titanium on titanium end section bone replacements for the new knee.
If you like gory stuff, YouTube "full knee replacement". I've seen more gore than most and it was tough for me to watch.
Aww come on man, I dare you. ๐Ÿ˜œ
