Just went back and re-read this. There is a lot of good info in that article. We are going to have to set up more than just the motor to be able to take advantage of the power that can be had. A high speed wobble at 140 mph is a bad thing. -
Very interesting. The predominate thinking has been that a long stroke engine is needed for high torque by means of the leverage provided by a rod pin that is further from the crank centerline. It turns out that piston surface area and valve/port size is just as important as the leverage provided by a long stroke engine design.Comment
