On reflection a good GPS speedo is probably more use - and cheaper.

Me thinks after you go by the machine is relegated to a smoking pile of metal saying "does not compute"..."does not compute"!

Just be aware of the Po Po 100 yards away waiting with their Lidar. Putting a radar trailer out is like honey to bees. "Lets see how fast we can go, Uh oh!!"

A very interesting comment. I have not seen a copper anywhere in the area of one of these in my years of riding the USA. Now that you have jinxed me, I shall have to be more careful.

It would be chicken shit but also funny. Not with you of course but with some 16 year old that just got his license. I know, I hate 16 year old drivers. It's too young to drive.

Another reason I say that is when they do set up the radar trailers around here in residential areas the kids do like to see how fast of a reading they can get, video it or snap a photo and then post it on their social media and then the 'challenge accepted' starts. I don't care for them as I believe they have a very minimal impact on slowing drivers down. That's just cranky me though.

Down here what they use and I’m sure it’s not just down here is they put an empty patrol car in the median or on the side of the road which definitely works better than those electronic speed signs. Everybody slows down because you can’t tell until you’re right on it if there’s a cop inside.

I like to compare my speedometers to those things.

Close enough but for an actual reading make sure to have it straight on or the angle of '0' otherwise you're off a few mph to the negative. Jus say'n

Me neither. It's great down here no in Taylor County, apparently they don't use the cops for revenue generation
There's lots of cops riding around, but I've never seen radar set up anywhere even once, never seen anyone pulled over getting a ticket. Lotta meth busts in the paper, that must keep them busy. I even overtook a cop once at around 120 mph, I had picked off the two cars behind him, not realizing he was a cop. He flashed his gumballs on for a second as a warning, gave her full binders and swung in behind him, oops, thank you.

120 mph?? I would say the cop was late for his Almond Mocha latte' break. Here you would have been taken to jail and your bike impounded as anything over 100 mph is a misdemeanor here. Wait, a few years ago you would have gone to jail now under Newsome the police wave goodbye as you pass them. My bad.

Going to jail for speeding? The laws of this country are out of control.

Not too much, however. We used to get a max of 3 mph low at 30° offset.

Any speed ticket was a misdemeanor and subject to attest and booking back before they were decriminalized in the 80's.

All the better for court testifying. The benefit goes to the driver.
