    Texas Hill Country Tragedy

    Having traveled all the way from WA State several times for gatherings in Leakey, TX, tis fair to say that I love riding the area . . . almost as much the peeps who come to ride together!
    Being a retarded motor copper and detective, this just hurt my heart!

              This is the second of these incidents this year! What a loss. Fine folks having fun not coming home. Perhaps running in packs strategies and ways needs to be discussed by this fine and experienced panel.

              Do we know if there is a GoFund me to help the families deal with this?

                This happens way to often! I could go on a rant about DUI and the lack of hard time for alcohol related offences but I won't. I'm surprised this made the new as it's not COVID related. This makes me as about as angry as I can get without self destructing. Prayers go out.

                      I knew a guy, terrible drunk, hit an Amish buggy, didn't kill anyone except the horse. Did 7 years in state prison, got out, got drunk and crossed center line, killed 2 people, put two more in hospital intensive care, we think he died in prison. He had more than 10 DWI s maybe a lot more, I lost count.

                            Alcohol is a dangerous substance. Please don't drink while riding and don't drive after drinking.

                              No alcohol prior to beginning to ride is paramount. For the duration of the ride, none at all is best; however,
                              the BAC science has shown me that one beer, or even two, over a one hour food break shouldn't cause issue for an averaged sized guy.
                              More than that would be flirting with possible effects to your skills (.04mg/100ml) and perhaps even the legal limit of .08mg/100ml. .
