Been following along on this one. Feeling kinda bummed out actually. I hate that we missed this one but there was no way that my knee was going to take that much travel, even in the truck it's only good for a couple of hours max before having to get out and walk around.
Would have made a LONG trip out of it. Real glad that everybody was safe and had a ball!

Laurel and I made a consolation trip up to see Jerry the knife maker at his new digs near Spruce Pine NC. One of his buddies that is local rides and took us on a 3 hour tour of some of his favorite back roads.Nothing like having somebody that knows where the good roads are!!! What a hoot, we were on stuff that made the Dragon look straight.

One other thing that I learned on that ride that bums me out though. My days of riding rockets are done and I need to get a lighter bike. Can I still come and hang out if I am riding a something else and get my knees replaced purty please??

Anyone interested in a 13 R3T with a shit load of extras?

drove till 4 a.m., took a four-hour cat nap and then finished up with 4 hours of driving ,now at home!
Leakey Texas was a new destination for myself, thoroughly enjoyed the riding area and the people that were there, missed more than a few of the regulars... and to those I say "get the fuck off the couch".
