I did, it hurt, I’m just kinda propped up in the pic (notice the hospital bracelet), I’m ok, cosmetic damage mostly to the bike I think, it’s still in Doc’s trailer, I’m riding in the back seat of the truck until we get back to Bloomfield where we will unload and assess whether it can be ridden 750 miles back to OKC. As of today I couldn’t do it even if the bike could, but I’m on the mend.

We are in Panwitch, Utah. Tomorrow will be our last ride day. Going to do Bryce and Zion, then after tomorrow night we wake up and say our good byes.

That section of road was ultra fantastic. We stopped there also and took some pictures.

So typing is difficult now, the short version is I got a little sideways trying to slow down for this cattle guard (notice the spacing of the rails)

I recall the back wheel being out to the right before the guard, steering into it and coming off the brake, long skid marks beyond the guard show backend out to the left.

I don’t recall much past realizing the back wheel was out to the left, they tell me I high sided out of that slide. I was unconscious for a few minutes after, and woke up surrounded by the group.
Many thanks to all that helped, especially Steve’s brother Dan who as a retired first responder was on the spot with assessment and first aid, Doc for allowing me to ride out the trip in the backseat of his truck and transporting the bike back to Bloomfield (never question the value of a chase vehicle again Doc).
BREEZE, Huge thanks to you brother, above and beyond what anybody would have expected. After a week long ride you, without a days rest, jumped in and did another 1500 mile round trip to OKC and back to get me home...I owe you. Saw your post on the other forum, glad you made it home safe, would have responded there if I could’ve.
