If I'd had chest body armor when I crashed I probably wouldn't have had multiple rib fractures. I did have the shoulder armor but either it didn't work or it really would have been bad had I not had the CE armor.

The only thing the body armor does in my opinion is keep you from getting serious road rash from a high speed fall. If you put on your armored jacket and I came down on your armored shoulder with a hammer your shoulder will still separate although it may save it from a compound fracture. The same with butt pads or hip pads. If you fall it won't keep you from rupturing a few vertebrae but it will keep the road rash to a minimum. It does help but you will probably still get hurt.

I think it lessens the immediate impact. Given even with the armored jacket my shoulder is still crunchy but without i probably wouldve shattered the bone

I am a proponent of armor. It will help but you still get hurt just to a lessor degree. A few Power Rangers out there think because they look like a Knight in shinning armor a fall won't hurt. It will, a lot! Like they say, there isn't such a thing as a non injury motorcycle accident. Just forgetting to put the kickstand down and falling can ruin your day. 👍

            Correctamundo, Amigo!
Newton's 2nd, F=ma (force=mass times acceleration and acceleration = initial velocity - ending Velocity divided by time.
            Time is the controling factor!
Remember the old saying, tis not the fall but the sudden stop that will kill you?
Any padding will increase the time to Stop. Although miniscule, the added time greatly reduces the acceleration rate and thereby the impact force.

When it comes to the noggin I'm on board 100%, A rubber or foam pad won't do crap hitting a car or falling at 70 mph but it will help with the road rash. I wear armor for that reason. If I crash (heaven forbid) I'm going to bounce down the freeway and there will be damage, broken things armor or not. Now a giant bubble is something I should look into😁.

I don't see any blessed bikes, just Harleys.
