Northern Pennsylvania ride

Did a few days riding with Dave and Dan. We saw thousands of Trump signs only one Biden sign, typical of rural areas, both my places in NY and Florida are similar. One made me laugh, I told those guys it must be an old sign recycled from back when Trump was a Democrat.



We were motel drinking, when the barmaid at the combination motel/ restaurant got off, she joined us for a couple of beers.


I got up from a nap Wednesday night and the parking lot was jammed with cars, couldn't figure it out, I asked a guy walking by with a pistol on his hip, he said Trump summit, it was mostly local Republicans giving out their signs, though.


Other than employees, there was almost zero mask wearing by the locals, most places had signs like these posted.

This bridge in Driftwood, PA, got knocked off it's foundations by an ice jam and pushed 1/2 mile downstream until it came up against the railroad bridge. They got winches and a crane and picked it up in one piece and trucked it back and put it back on the foundation. Hard story to believe, it's about 150 feet long, but they had all the old newspaper clippings about it on the wall at the bar across the street, the Willow.

It sucks getting old. I rolled 4 joints and brought a bottle of Jameson for our trip. I came home with the same 4 joints and an unopened bottle of Jameson, I guess beer is enough these days...
