    My Fellow Rocketeers!

For anyone interested, The 2021 Rocket Freedom Ride - West dates are still from Aug 15th to Aug 20th. It has moved to Colorado for economic reasons.

We shall leave home whenever necessary to meet up in Leadville, CO on Sun the 15th at the Rodeway Inn - 1128 US Hwy 24 S. 719-486-3637

Mon the 16th we ride from Leadville, CO to Cedaredge, CO (204 miles)
Stay Wise Inn - 530 Grand Mesa Dr. 970–856-7824

Tue the 17th we ride Cedaredge, CO back to Leadville, CO (206 miles)
    Rodeway Inn - 1128 US Hwy 24 S. 719-486-3637

Wed the 18th we ride from Leadville, CO to Loveland, CO (252 miles)
Travel Lodge by Windham, 1655 E. Eisenhower Blvd. 800-257-2297

Thur the 19th we ride from Loveland, CO back to Leadville, CO (292 miles) Rodeway Inn - 1128 US Hwy 24 S. 719-486-3637

Fri the 20th we begin to head home . . .

So far I have about 6 riders leaving from WA. Unsure at present who are trailer queening and who are the manly ones riding all the way.

I hope some of you are still interested in doing this. I found much better hotel rates and having ridden all this before, I know this shall be a great scenic run with plenty of hooning twisties for the so inclined.

Below is the complete itinerary in .JPG format.
I shall be happy to provide .PDF format suitable for copy & paste into Google Maps for anyone interested.

I might do this. 8 hrs to Amarillo, 8 to Leadville. Keep trailer in Leadville. Will call to see if they will keep it safe for me somehow. Perhaps there is a storage nearby.

I think I have enough vacation time left to pull this off ! Sounds like it will be the traveling circus style ride ? Do we have to make individual reservations at the mentioned hotels ? Sounds like a blast !

Remember the Leadville hotel will be for three of the 5 days.
1-The Sunday arrival & meet to Monday departure (Day 1).
2-Wednesday evening arrival to Thursday departure (Day 3).
3-Friday evening arrival to Saturday departure (Day 5).

Day 2 will be in Cedaredge for 1 night and then ride back to Leadville.
Day 4 will be in Loveland for 1 night then ride back to Leadville.

Spouses could take a break by skipping a day ride if so wished.

I'll have to check with the Leadville Rodeway Inn. If I could park my car and trailer there for the 5 days that would be great.

Probably best. Riding the roads and freeways in Suckafornia is a challenge in its self. Still beautiful in areas although full of horrible roads, homelessness and trash. So much trash on the streets and highways. The people just don't care about scenery like in say North Carolina where the roads are very clean. California is bursting with traffic, drive bye's, loud noises, lots of hypodermic needles in and around all coastal cities and general assholes so maybe a good choice in the destination change. 20 years ago I would have fought anyone talking shit about Cali but alas things have dramatically changed for the worse. Cheers.

                ONE MORE CHANGE
I made all my reservations tonight. In reserving my rooms, I ran into an issue for the night of the 18th at the Travel Lodge by Windam in Loveland. They insisted on me paying and charging my credit card up front right now. I could not abide this rip off and subsequently abstained.
My reservations are now at the Best Western Plus in Loveland, 5542 East Hwy 34, phone 883-535-0665
I got 2 rooms, each with 2 queens for $283. the pay up front option would have been $223.
Apologies for the one room change, but obviously you all are free to book wherever you wish.
This is going to be a great run . . .
EVEN BETTER if Jimbo comes along!
Leadville, CO is only 1100 miles from Antioch, CA
No trailer for me this ride, so 1300 miles from, Tacoma, WA
