I’m moving the HitchDoc hitch that I had reinforced to the Roadster along with the trailer fuse block and trailer brake controller.
The Windshield was moved today.
OK, it has been a busy 5 weeks since my last update.
1. Finished getting Black Mamba ready to tow in Florida.
2. Went to the ER and got antibiotics for bacterial infection in my foot.
3. Headed up I95 north but got bored and sick of breathing exhaust fumes so turned left and did the top 180 miles on the Blue Ridge and 110 on Skyline.
4. Spent the 4th of July at my parents in NY. Foot was almost pain free for 1 day.
5. Rode to Bar Harbor Maine.
6. Foot infection came back with a vengeance and I had to go to the ER again as my NY insurance won’t pay for a regular Doctor or Clinic. More antibiotics.
7. I need that foot or at least the big toe to shift.
8. Rain delay getting to Nova Scotia and Newfoundland to complete the North America Four Corners goal.
That damn diabetes almost took my big left toe. Spend a week in the hospital, loads of antibiotics, a small procedure with a skin graft and they were able to save it last June. Still get small infections and cellulitis occasionally. My problem is I have neuropathy and don't feel when I get cut...SUCKS!
TribalJim I wish I knew you were going to be in Parry,Oklahoma. Did you eat at the Kumback Cafe. Pretty Boy Floyd who came in armed locked the door ordered a giant steak at the Comeback Cafe.
I had to blast to Florida to get my ugly Rocket.
Then I got the foot infection on my way there and the humidity was horrible so it took me almost a month to get back on the road.
Maybe next time!
My infected foot was getting better so I took the Ferry to Nova Scotia and started exploring but the Bacteria started eating me inside out again so I had to go to the ER in New Glasgow. 5 days of antibiotic IV drips and 10 days of pills.
Then I took the 7 hour Ferry to Southwest Newfoundland. I took Dramamine this time and had a cabin so I was OK when I got there but it was 2am and I couldn’t find a hotel.
I was awake so decided to drive to the next town but after 120 miles there wasn’t one. I also had a Moose cross in front of me and got paranoid about every large bush and it was getting cold so ended up sleeping on the ground next to the bike.
I got to an RV park called Dildo Run (Dildo? RUN!!) and stayed four nights and rode 300 miles to Trepassey.
My foot seems to be healing but I caught the Flu and was bed ridden yesterday.
Today was the only good day to ride to the Northwest point of the island at St Johns to complete my four corners of North America goal so I managed to get up and do 200 miles to complete it. Yeah.
