Oh, and lest we forget, this month marks the two year anniversary of getting $crewed by the worlds worst so-called Biker Brother (who can’t ride for $hit either)…

I lived in Ensenada for a few years, in fact, my father's final resting place is Maneadero, just 7 mk past Ensenada. great memories of the Baja race starting point

Did you ever go to Hussongs Cantina? I was there in 1983 and it was 100 degrees easy. I was there with a very pretty girl and the end results was a spilled drink on my girlfriend and me punching out a guy (and me getting punched) It was during the day and everyone in there was drunk except me and my girlfriend. I should have turned around when we walked in and saw a male sitting between a girls legs and, well, you know. Very unattractive couple and very drunk. I did like Ensenada though. I really enjoyed both Ensenada and Rosarito Beach and went to both a year later.👍

Hussong's is a little over rated for my taste, it is famous allover Mexico, when i went there i was dissapointed

Okay...TJ means Tribal Jim not Tijuana. Easy mistake though. Tribal Jim is living the life and TJ is a place I have been 3 times and have zero desire to go back.

Been to Tijuana way back in 1989. Was a shit hole then and probably worse today. Have been to a few other tourist traps like Cancun too...was on a cruise. Would definitely go back but would like to see some mountain towns far away from the tourists. Hear they are beautiful. Not sure how safe Mexico is as I cannot trust our State Dept. for accurate info. Many say it's fine just stay away from the Sinaloa State where the cartel is.Last edited by Old N’ Grumpy; 02-07-2023, 11:08 AM.

I’ll be on Rt5 heading to Los Algadones for dental work so I probably won’t be near Ensenada but who knows…
Next stop from here will be Loreto in a few weeks when it starts warming up. It’s only 300 miles but 8 degrees cooler.
After a week or so there I’ll probably go to Guerrero Negro for a week or so and then San Felipe for a week or so before going back to Yuma.
I canceled my Daytona Bike Week plans to spend more time in Baja and the mid-west before heading northeast for the Summer. The weather wasn’t looking promising across I10 either.

PS.
1. NO One has been in this TJ.
2. This TJ has been TO TJ.
After D1 (Divorce #1) I rented a car and drove from SF down the coast to the border hitting all the Hard Rock Cafes buying guitar pins for my collection (I was MrHardRock on the .com site).
The rental contract said not to take it into MX so I parked at the border and walked all the way to TJ, had lunch and drinks and walked all the way back. I went through aqueducts, under dark bridges, and through shady looking areas with burned out cars wearing new clothes, bright white sneakers, a gold bracelet and ring, carrying a bright yellow Walkman and I had a bunch of cash.
I feel sorry for those that let Fear, Uncertainty, and Doubt prevent them from having great adventures…
