Question: Cam Cover Gasket. Anything else I "NEED" to order with it?

The bugger has suddenly bulged and started to weep (it's the original) - not a hope in hell of selling it like it is.
It's been threatening to go for ages - but last weekend during a 60km run - the fat lady sang.

Tips from the maintenance gods on how best to do it appreciated.

If you have the older cover with the machined step, tis much easier.
I put one of the older chrome covers on my Roadster and was a snap.
Take placing it on the head slow and careful.

37€ - Ordered a spare too in case I mess it up. Hopefully they'll be here next week.

As a plus though - the new workshop manager gave me his card and says he'll take email orders for small stuff with no deposit.

Taking advantage of the "pause" to put the Adaptives back on and reposition the PDM60. Also fitting a pair of Stebel Magnum horns fed straight from said PDM60 ------ "MOVE - YOU IDIOT!!!"

At bloody last!. The gasket(s) arrived Nov 2nd, but the temp's were way too low last weekend to do anything more than remove easy stuff. Managed to get the old one off yesterday (bleeding front coil mount!) - can see where the gasket had be BADLY fitted/refitted at some point. Not me as this was my first attack, and I have had the bike from new. Only seen a dealer twice - both during the warranty. So it was an authorised service agent. The forecast is warm for next couple of days - So I can finish. This getting old lark means I need DayLight to see - and the sun only enters the garage from 10AM until about 3PM at the moment. A mate is coming over tomorrow to help me with the last bits'n'bobs.

Have the JWS Adaptives back in and the JWS 6150 fogs too.

          Dave,
I just spoke with Rob aka Claviger and he will bring his lap top and cable to check your Rocket.

I have used one that I got from Harbor Freight that has a hydraulic foot lift and has work excellent for probably 12 years.
