Well the time has finally come

For 32 years I’ve been putting it off but the past year has brought me down as far as I can go. The last 4 months I’ve been just barely able to walk. So next Tuesday the 19th I’m having L3-4 & L4-5 fusion on the lower back with a laminectomy 🥵
Hopefully in a few months I’ll be back to my old ornery self 🤠

That will keep you down for a while. Make sure to keep us up to date. No sex at the hospital meaning leave little Tex alone cause you are going to be bored out of your mind. It will give you time to catch up on your "CHIP's" marathon. The only CHP motorcycle riders that have a beat that encompasses all of Los Angeles area and Catalina while stationed at Central LA, the armpit of LA. On Sunset Blvd one day to the desert the next. I want that job! Nah, too old. 😊

Good luck I had the bilateral Laminectomy done twice, the second time was to repair the CSF leak the first surgery cause. But I think I can stand up straighter now. It was 155k total but man it's nice to walk again.
as I get older I am regretting some of the wild times I've had

1981 torn ACL & MCL - steet bike
1998 fusion of C5-6 neck vertebra - football, rodeo, ect
2003 torn left rotator cuff with detached biceps tendon - weights
2010 torn right rotator cuff with detached biceps tendon - mountain bike
Broke each arm when I was a little boy but the Doctors didn’t consider setting the break n putting a cast on it a “surgery” back in those days🙄
So after injuring my lower back in 1991 doing squats, it’s time to finish the puzzle. This is all I have left to fix. Well actually I need a left knee replacement now too but this lower back has to come first.
But yea, no regrets. It’s been fun getting here.
I know Warpo would tell ya the same.

Pretty long list of maladies, Amigo. Love a man that lives with gusto, and especially one that even cooks!
I have a lengthy list as well of trauma caused surgeries. This year has been my first where the surgeries are health related.
Life has slapped me around convincing me I am indeed AN OLD FUCK!

Dr said I had more damage than he expected but got it all fixed up. Sure made a purty scar 😎
He said I had real thick back muscle and had to cut real deep so I will be more sore from that too.
I said yea, we’ll call it “muscle” 🤣🤣
