    Rocket rides again

I haven't been able to start it since last spring, I removed the keyless ignition that I hated anyway. To be fair, it was underwater in my airbox when it filled to the top in a flash thunderstorm, the tank bib must have funneled the water into it perfectly, but I couldn't stand not being able to keep the fob with the bike, my bikes often go years without the key ever being out of the ignition, as I stay far away from cities.
And I originally installed it because I thought I had a bad ignition, but it turned out to be a bad coil.

Well, Amigo - is it running now or not?

Your heading was very misleading. Was it a play on words? Don't leave us hanging. Is it up and running or still under water? Inquiring minds must know!

Dumb me, I didn't make it clear, fired right up, missed that sound, like a funny car idling. 😁

PS: Chris, Can we do a "poll" like in the former former?

Interestingly, the bike barely ran after changing batteries, apparently the 12 minute tune is required after ecu has no power, ran smooth as butter after 12 minute tune.
Also. I retract my recommendation for Motobatt batteries, 2 in 4 years on Rocket, I went back to Yuasa. Odd, as I have had great longevity with Motobatt in all my other bikes

Very glad you SAW THE LIGHT, Amigo!
Motobatt are shit. Yesterday, I put a new Yuasa in YurMama. My Bro Dan had put in a new cheapie battery when leaving Wisconson back in May 2019 which has shit the bed. For a non Yuasa, 2½ years ain't bad.

It says it does not fit my 2014 Roadster. Isn't YurMama a roadster???

I'm not saying that the Carpenter build shakes the earth, but that roll up door was closed but not latched, it opened on it's own during the 12 minute tune, first just a foot, then next time I looked, it was all the way up.

                Nice looking shop building.
The motif is reminiscent of the jumble, muddle, fuddle, mare's nest, of BREEZE Dave's shop!

Now hoses leaking, always something, got Samco in red on the way. What's everyone using for coolant these days?

The Yuasa battery you bought on Amazon. You posted the link. It said it would not fit my bike and I have a 2014 Roadster similar to yours.

Years ago I did a LOT of research because "Kong", my 2012 3R, eats batteries at a rate of 1 every 2 to 3 years. I keep a list of batteries that fit my Rocket Roadsters.
The YUASA YTX20HL-BS is 6.875" x 3.44" 6.124" and provides 310 Cold Cranking Amps at 17.5 Amp hours and 12.5 lbs. I know it fits because I have used a half dozen of them in my two Roadsters.
