    Looking for Recommendations - Grips

Hey all, I've been lusting after a set of Rizoma Sport grips for a while now, but after looking up how much the 1" diameter ones cost now ($150 pre-shipping) I'm looking for other options. Any recommendations? I don't really care about heated grips, but I'd like something with some nicely pointed knurling for grippyness.

The pricey ones I was looking at:

    AVONS. Never regretted it.

Biltwell has served me well on my motors for many years. https://www.amazon.com/BILTWELL-Moto...6&sr=8-16years.

          Not 100% sure - it's been a while - but IIRC these http://avongrips-com.3dcartstores.co...ips_p_296.html

Do these have end caps? I'm currently having my stock bar ends engraved, and want to keep them. I can't really tell by the pictures on the website.

Yes - but Avon actually tell you just to cut the caps of with a "Junior Hacksaw" - I kid you not. I lathed them off with a cutting off tool, but because I can. If you have an exacto razor saw - it'll be a neater cut. I know others have used the cushion style - but I prefer the simple grippy Kraton. The advantage being the Avon includes the throttle tube.

The Rizomas have an ergonomic shape that looks functional. I like the stock with the bar weights because I use the bar and to rest-on cruising.

              So Gage,
              What grips did you install?

I second the Avons. Bought mine on Amazon and they are cheap too! Under $50 if I remember right.

I've yet to make the purchase. I'm leaning toward the Avons, but I'm not sure that I won't just hold out for the Rizomas. Steve, do you have a picture of the Biltwells installed? I'm a little confused on how they go on, since they don't appear to have an attachment for the throttle cables.

I cut the OEM rubber throttle grip off and place the Biltwell throttle grip over the OEM plastic throttle.
Over the years I have done this several times. A fair amount of elbow grease is necessary. Two days ago I put a new set on YurMama. Tis now more elbow grease than I like ( Not too much for a young stud like you). Next time I shall buy the Avons.
